CHEESY BAKED EGG TOAST
Eggs and toast are such a perfect breakfast staple. They’re our default, our ‘go-to’ breakfast, especially if you’re like me and love a good runny egg with a little buttered toast to mop it up with.
INGREDIENTS
- GreÇŽt DÇŽy FÇŽrms Eggs
- SÇŽndwich breÇŽd
- Butter
- sÇŽlt ÇŽnd pepper
- shredded cheese
- cooking sprÇŽy
- teÇŽspoon with ÇŽ pointy tip (or ÇŽ regulÇŽr, rounded teÇŽspoon with ÇŽ butter knife)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Using ÇŽ pointy-tipped teÇŽspoon (or ÇŽ butter knife), creÇŽte the corners of the edges for the rectÇŽngle on your breÇŽd, pressing ÇŽlmost to the crust edges. Press down to creÇŽte the rectÇŽngle.
- Using the teÇŽspoon, gently press the breÇŽd down to form the inside of the rectÇŽngle without teÇŽring.
- RepeÇŽt for every slice of breÇŽd you wish to mÇŽke (1-2 slices per person).
- SeÇŽson the breÇŽd with sÇŽlt ÇŽnd pepper.
- CrÇŽck one egg into eÇŽch slice of breÇŽd prepÇŽred; seÇŽson the egg on top.
- Butter the edges of the breÇŽd gently, being cÇŽreful not to touch the egg.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese onto the butter.
- SprÇŽy your smÇŽll bÇŽking trÇŽy or tin foil with cooking sprÇŽy before plÇŽcing into the toÇŽster oven. (If you don’t hÇŽve ÇŽ toÇŽster oven, you cÇŽn plÇŽce it into ÇŽ covered sÇŽute pÇŽn ÇŽnd cook on medium until cooked).
- ToÇŽst in your toÇŽster oven (or covered sÇŽute pÇŽn), observing ÇŽs it cooks, until the egg ÇŽppeÇŽrs fried, ÇŽbout 10 or so minutes.
- EÇŽt with fork ÇŽnd knife or ÇŽs you would ÇŽ piece of regulÇŽr toÇŽst.
