This wheat egg is healthy and vegetarian, but you want to eat apple pie for breakfast!

Recently, I was hired to play for musician Charlie Putt and his songwriting team, who rented a house in Montessito when he wrote his first album. I was assigned to prepare all meals throughout the week so they could focus on beatings. At the last minute (as in the menu selected, buying ingredients) I was told that one of the guests was vegan and the other did not eat milk or wheat.

Some designated foods can be easily changed, but for those who do not need a free vegan / wheat / milk option, this will not block my packaged program (ie fast + easy). .

I like good challenges and also make healthy recipes for recipes. So I decided to create a flavorful and satisfying dish for their non-vegan counterparts, milk and wheat.

  • An overnight oat is a perfect breakfast in the foreground. On Sunday nights, you can prepare 5 separate jars of apple cinnamon overnight and prepare your breakfast for the next working week.
  • Oats are amazing because of their high fiber content. Some of this wheat will satisfy you during the day and free you from the demand for sugar.

Just add the same amount of oatmeal and non-milk drinks of your choice, add one or two flavor enhancers, such as agave, maple syrup, cinnamon, cardamom, a pinch of salt over and over. Maybe you throw some bean seeds, flaxseed or chia for texture if you want. Then mix, cover and chill overnight and expand - you are in a healthy and nutritious vegan paradise.

That can't be easier. With just two minutes to prepare the wheat, I threw the ingredients together the night before dinner. In the morning, I keep the same apple compote I made for pancakes (make sure to use a balance of soil instead of butter, but if you are not vegetarian or milk, you can certainly use butter).

I must say that people who eat pancakes are rather jealous of oatmeal apples with cinnamon because they all demand the recipe! And since then I have done it at home.

Tips for making wheat for the night:


  • For this recipe, I use 1 cup of wheat for 1 cup of milk and look for a slightly stiff texture to distinguish myself from apple compote. Add a little more liquid if you want cream porridge, but generally remain at the maximum liquid ratio for oats 2: 1.
  • Oats like salt! In the case of a 1/4 1/4 fake. Salt is as important as cinnamon and maple syrup, if not more important, so don't miss it.
  • Chia seeds and all dried fruits can be added at night because it takes time to take liquid and fill it overnight. Fresh fruit will add too much liquid to the wheat and must be added in the morning.
  • Add oatmeal to your oatmeal after you take it out of the fridge to make sure everything is combined.
